The national and biggest airline in Spain is IBERIA (www.iberia.es), which is now linked with British Airways.
If you are looking for information in all airports of Spain, see www.aena.com. This is the company which operates most of the Spanish airports.
Internal flights
Spain's Iberia Airlines operates an extensive network of internal and international flights from the major airports. Iberia flights can be booked via authorised travel agencies and from their web site.
International flights
Spain has many international airports. The airports open to international traffic are: Alicante, Almeria, Aviles, Barcelona, Bilbao, Fuerteventura, Girona, Granada, Ibiza, Jerez de la Frontera, Corunna, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Madrid-Barajas, Malaga, Melilla, Menorca, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca, Reus (Tarragona), San Sebastian, Santander, Santiago de Compostela (Corunna) Seville, Tenerife-Norte, Tenerife-Sur, Valencia, Vigo, Vitoria and Zaragoza. A departure tax applies when flying out of Spain, but this is usually included in the price of the ticket at purchase - although it is worth checking on this when flying with cut-price flight operators..
Because of the increased number of passengers flying to and from the Spanish airports, many are currently being modernised and expanded to cope with the increased traffic - both human and aircraft.
